Ending Drug Free School Zone Enhancement
The Drug Free School Zone enhancement is a major driver of statewide mass incarceration by increasing sentences for low-level non-violent offenders to the same level of second degree murder. Besides being grossly excessive, studies show a racial disparity in the application of Drug Free School Zones. As District Attorney, Glenn Funk has not prosecuted any cases as DFSZ offenses.
